Pee Pee: Holly didn’t go lightly

Sarah and I inhabited the hi-dive Friday for the Bad Weather California tour kickoff show, which happened to feature Our Favorite Local Band, Pee Pee, (sidenote: I think we’ve been to more shows in the last year or so than some members of the band) who broke my heart a little bit by announcing it was Holly’s last show with the band.

Holly Thomas is the owner a booming voice that powered the band’s more soulful numbers while making all the American Idol contestants have nightmares from 2,000 miles away every time she took the stage.
I recorded one of my favorite numbers featuring Miss Holly with my point-and-shoot, but let’s just say that it was not meant to record a rock concert 15 feet from the speakers. I’ll include it here anyway if you’re feeling lucky (warning, the crappy audio is pretty loud, so turn down your volume beforehand):
