Denver smells like cheap fireworks

Just stepped outside and caught a nostril-full of the smell of burning refrigerators, auto parts and plastic, which combined smells exactly like someone lit several thousand black snake fireworks at once. The smoke is drenching all of Capitol Hill, all the way from Broadway to Colorado (which I found out by looking for a pharmacy with Primatene Mist in stock to avoid having to go the ER just to breathe comfortably through the night. I’m a recovering asthmatic and this crap doesn’t help).

Anyway, the source of the smoke is a recycling plant in that part of Englewood that penetrates southwest Denver, and today’s wind/heat combo made it a thousand million times worse (that’s my scientific estimate). Here’s some of CBS4 News’s fancy new HD video of the fire.
